post snow storm

the dog enjoyed the snow for about ten minutes. then it was time to get warm.

amazingly we did NOT lose power. I am completely and totally surprised.

we got exactly 12" here, but the weather station one town over had 16". of course while looking at twiiter today that weather station said it was getting "unknown precipitation" so perhaps some part of that 16" was a rain of frogs.

and now its warning us it may rain and sleet and blow tomorrow, with a side of flooding. LOVELY.

On the one hand, hooray for not having lost power, but on the other, not so much on the flooding, eep! I remember having had to deal with even minor flooding vividly, over a decade back, and don't want to imagine what a major flood could even do. *hands you a frog umbrella*

The flooding wasn't too bad, we didn't get as much rain as predicted, but hooboy did we get FOG.

driving was no advised. You need a foghorn.
